This year we are doing things differently! We are combining a careers expo with our options evening. The careers expo will be available from 4:30-6pm and then from 6:30-7:30pm. A variety of tertiary providers, training institutions and businesses to give students and their whanau the opportunity to speak with experts in their fields. Providers attending include: The University of Waikato, Wintec, The NZ Defence Force, ETCO, PIHMS, Fairviews Educational Services, QRC, NZ Chiropractic College, Dairy NZ, and Waikato Aviation, with more to come. Everyone is welcome, so come along and grab some information to help plan your future!
The 'options' part of the evening will run from 6-7:30pm. All students (Y9-12) are encouraged to attend our options evening so that they receive the very best support and guidance to help them make these all important subject choices.
The decisions that students make around their academic courses for 2024 will be some of the most important decisions that they make this year. It is important that they make informed decisions with the support of their parents and the college to ensure that they can work towards their future career aspirations.
There will be a presentation by Mr Tester at 6pm in the Marcellin Centre on option choices (recommended for Y9/10 students) - if you've been to this presentation in previous years you need not attend if you can remember all the information! Teaching staff are available to discuss coursing in 2024 and answer questions from 6-7:30pm
The timings of the evening are fairly fluid to allow you to create your own programme.
